No sound output with my Raspberry Pi 4

First Steps

Start by going to the Raspbian Desktop and in the upper right corner you'll see a speaker icon. Try these steps to fix this issue:

Make sure there is not a line through the speaker icon indicating the sound is muted
If you are using external speakers unplug and then plug them back in
Repeat the step above if you are using sound through HDMI
Drag your mouse over the speaker icon and right click on it and toggle between the HDMI and Analog options a few times and make sure you toggle to the position you need (If you are using external speakers it should be on Analog). Reboot the Pi board
